Castle in England

Castle in England was published in 2017 by Nobrow Ltd., an independent British publisher noted for its commitment to high-quality graphic narratives and artistic illustration. The book emerged as part of a trend in contemporary publishing that blends architectural history with atmospheric, evocative storytelling. It serves as a visual exploration of historical estates, capturing the grandeur and decay of traditional English structures through a modern, stylized lens.

The work is primarily defined by Jamie Rhodes' distinct illustrative approach, which emphasizes texture, structural geometry, and a sense of place. By focusing on the interplay between light and the imposing nature of stone architecture, Rhodes intended to provoke a contemplative response from the reader regarding the preservation and legacy of these sites. Upon its release, it was recognized within illustration and design circles for its aesthetic cohesion and the publisher's characteristically thoughtful production quality.
