Kunstschätze Jütlands, Fünens und Schleswigs aus der Zeit Waldemar des Siegers

Published in 1991 by the Viborg Stiftsmuseum, this scholarly volume was produced to accompany focused research into the material culture of Denmark and Northern Germany during the early thirteenth century. The text serves as a specialized exploration of the cultural and artistic artifacts associated with the era of Valdemar II, also known as Valdemar the Victorious, a transformative figure in the consolidation of the Danish monarchy and its Baltic hegemony.

The work was curated by Jesper Hjermind, an expert in medieval archaeology, who sought to synthesize archaeological findings from the regions of Jutland, Funen, and Schleswig. By cataloging these specific 'art treasures,' the publication provides a detailed look at the ecclesiastical and secular craftsmanship of the medieval period, offering a regional perspective on the integration of Scandinavian and European artistic influences during the height of the Valdemarian expansion.
