Where it came from
Published in 1978 by Galerie Junge Kunst, this volume serves as a catalog and documentation of the work of Kurt Heinz Sieger, a German painter and graphic artist known for his contributions to contemporary figurative art. The book was produced during a period when the gallery, based in Trier, was actively promoting regional artists and fostering a deeper engagement between the public and post-war expressionist currents.
The publication captures the aesthetic trajectory of Sieger, whose style often bridged the gap between traditional draftsmanship and the darker, more emotive sensibilities of the late twentieth-century European art scene. Through a curated selection of his drawings and paintings, the book functions both as a career retrospective and a testament to the artist's focus on existential themes, receiving positive recognition within regional art circles for its archival quality and clear presentation of his technical evolution.
