Le monete di Ostrogoti longobardi e vandali

Published in 1978 by the Comune di Milano, this scholarly work by Ermanno A. Arslan emerged from the cultural initiatives of Milan's municipal department of culture and performing arts. It was created to provide a systematic catalog and historical analysis of numismatic finds relating to the Ostrogothic, Lombard, and Vandal kingdoms, reflecting the city’s long-standing commitment to documenting the complex transition from the late Roman period to the early Middle Ages in Italy.

Ermanno A. Arslan, a distinguished numismatist and historian, designed this volume as a rigorous academic resource for researchers and museum curators. By cataloging these specific Germanic coinages, Arslan sought to clarify the economic and political shifts of the migration period. Upon its release, the work was received by the numismatic community as a vital reference, esteemed for its meticulous attention to detail and its contribution to the study of early medieval currency.
