Los putrefactos is a collection of drawings and writings originally conceived by Salvador Dalí and Federico García Lorca during the late 1920s while they resided at the Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid. The project was intended as a satirical critique of the bourgeois intellectual and cultural figures of their time, whom the pair mockingly labeled as putrefactos.
