Matthew and George Culley

Published in 2002 by Boydell Press on behalf of the Surtees Society, this volume chronicles the lives and agricultural contributions of Matthew and George Culley. The Culleys were prominent 18th-century farmers and innovators in the North of England, best known for their pioneering role in the selective breeding of livestock, particularly the improved Shorthorn cattle and Border Leicester sheep.
