Simon Bull

Published in 2021 by Simon Bull Studios, this monograph serves as a comprehensive visual survey of the work of Simon Bull, an artist widely recognized for his expressive, color-drenched approach to contemporary realism. The volume was created to catalog the evolution of his style, transitioning from his early landscapes and traditional compositions to the vibrant, flower-focused abstractions that have come to define his mature period. By gathering these works into a single collection, the book offers a cohesive look at how Bull utilizes intense pigment and rhythmic brushwork to explore themes of light and joy.

The design of the book emphasizes the tactile quality of Bull’s canvases, utilizing high-fidelity color reproduction to capture the impasto and layered transparency of his signature paintings. As an artist who served as an official commemorative artist for the 2002 Winter Olympics and created notable portraits of figures such as Muhammad Ali, Bull’s work occupies a space between fine art and mainstream cultural appreciation. This publication was intended for both established collectors of his limited editions and those discovering his approach to color theory and emotional expression for the first time.
