The history and power of mind

The History and Power of Mind was first published in 1902 during the height of the New Thought movement in the United States. Richard Ingalese, an influential figure in the occult and metaphysical circles of the early twentieth century, intended this work to serve as a comprehensive guide to the application of mental laws. It emerged from a period when interest in mental healing, manifestation, and the hidden potential of the human psyche was expanding rapidly among both popular and esoteric audiences.

The text is deeply rooted in the philosophical traditions of late Victorian mysticism, blending elements of Hermeticism with the author's own interpretations of mental science. Designed as a practical manual, it seeks to explain the mechanics of thought as a tangible force. While the book has seen various republications over the decades, including the Borgo Press edition, it remains a notable example of the era's fascination with the intersection of early psychology and spiritualism.
