Uru-Uru

Uru-Uru was published in 2007 by Latinas Editores as a reflection of the cultural and historical landscape of the Oruro department in Bolivia. Carlos Condarco Santillán, a noted local researcher and scholar, intended for the work to serve as a comprehensive exploration of the region's heritage, addressing the complex socio-political and traditional elements that define the area. The book occupies a distinct place in Bolivian regional literature, focusing on the preservation of identity in the face of modernization.

The design and content of the volume reflect a traditional academic approach common to the Latinas Editores catalog, which often prioritizes the dissemination of Andean history and geography. Written by an author deeply embedded in the local intellectual community, the text was received as a significant contribution to the study of Oruro. It is valued by researchers and collectors of Latin American regional studies for its specific focus on the cultural nuances of the Bolivian highlands.
