Uwe Schröder

Published by CLUEB in 2010, this volume serves as a comprehensive monograph dedicated to the architectural work of the German architect Uwe Schröder. Known for his methodical approach to design and his commitment to the principles of architectural space and urban context, Schröder's work often explores the relationship between the built environment and historical continuity. This collection documents a series of projects that highlight his focus on materiality, light, and the clear articulation of structural forms within contemporary European architecture.

The publication was curated to provide an academic overview of Schröder's design philosophy, capturing his rigorous focus on the logic of space rather than ornamental trend. As an architect who has heavily influenced architectural education, particularly through his long-standing professorships at institutions like the RWTH Aachen University, this book functions as both a portfolio and a theoretical framework. It has been well-received within architectural circles as a vital resource for understanding the specific rationalism that defines the modern German school of architectural thought.
