15 Jahre Jodlerduett Vitali-Sommer

Released under the Phonoplay label, this compilation serves as a retrospective tribute to the long-standing musical partnership of the Jodlerduett Vitali-Sommer. It was produced to commemorate fifteen years of collaboration, capturing a selection of tracks that define the duo's contribution to the Alpine folk and yodeling tradition. The album reflects the cultural persistence of traditional Swiss-German folk music during the late 20th century, a period when local labels frequently curated such anniversaries to consolidate the legacies of regional performers.

The design aesthetic remains grounded in the standard visual language of the Alpine folk scene, prioritizing the identity of the performers over elaborate graphic experimentation. By featuring the duo prominently, the cover emphasizes the accessibility and communal spirit of their performance style, which was highly valued in rural markets and among enthusiasts of authentic yodeling. As a label, Phonoplay acted as a bridge for these artists, ensuring that their vocal-heavy arrangements were preserved on physical media for listeners who frequented regional folk festivals and broadcasts.
