D. Gray-Man Complete Best

The D. Gray-Man Complete Best was released by Aniplex in 2008 as a definitive musical retrospective for the popular anime series based on Katsura Hoshino’s manga. The compilation serves as a curated collection of the show's opening and ending themes, capturing the dark, atmospheric aesthetic that defined the series' transition from mid-2000s shonen action to gothic fantasy. It was produced to capitalize on the series' cultural peak, bundling the high-energy J-rock and melodic pop tracks that became synonymous with the anime's broadcast run.

The album reflects the creative collaboration between Aniplex and the various artists chosen to represent the show's tonal shifts. By bringing together tracks from established acts like UVERworld, Sowelu, and Abingdon Boys School, the collection was designed to function as both a functional soundtrack and a memento for the dedicated fanbase. At the time of its release, it was well-received by the community for consolidating several singles that were otherwise scattered, solidifying its place as a staple of late 2000s anime music collections.
