Jenny From The Block - The Remixes

Released in 2002 on the Epic label, this remix collection serves as a promotional companion to the success of Jennifer Lopez's hit single Jenny from the Block. The disc emerged during a period of high commercial visibility for Lopez, capitalizing on the popularity of the lead single from her album This Is Me... Then. It reflects the industry practice of the early 2000s, where pop stars would release expanded remix packages to extend the chart life of radio hits in clubs and urban contemporary formats.

The production on these remixes was intended to pivot the original track toward more dance-floor-oriented arrangements, featuring contributions from various producers who infused the song with different rhythmic textures. While not a standard studio album, the release was designed for collectors and fans of the remix culture that dominated the era. It was received largely as a niche product for enthusiasts of Lopez's sound, providing a specialized look at how a single track could be reimagined across different electronic and R&B styles.
