Jensen Keets

Jensen Keets self-released this eponymous collection in 2011, marking a period in the early 2010s when independent artists increasingly leveraged digital self-distribution models alongside limited physical pressings. As an artist working outside the structures of a major label, Keets utilized this release to establish a singular musical identity, characteristic of the era's flourishing DIY singer-songwriter scene.

The aesthetic of the project reflects an intimate, low-fidelity approach common to the independent bedroom-pop movement of the time. The design and production choices favor raw, unfiltered creative expression, intended to foster a direct connection with a smaller, dedicated listenership rather than aiming for commercial mass-market appeal.
