Where it came from
Kari-Band, known as 仮Band in Japan, emerged from the virtuosic circle of musicians often associated with the BABYMETAL backing band, the Kami Band. This live release captures the high-energy technical fusion characteristic of their project, which serves as a platform for guitarist Takayoshi Ohmura, bassist Boh, and drummer Hideki Aoyama to explore complex instrumental arrangements that blend jazz-fusion, progressive rock, and metal elements.
The album was released internationally by JPU Records in 2021 to bring the group's performance expertise to a wider audience outside of Japan. The design and presentation reflect the group's 'demo' and 'live' aesthetic, prioritizing the raw musical interplay of the trio over elaborate studio production. It was well-received by fans of technical instrumental music for its precise execution and the palpable chemistry between the three instrumentalists.
