Kimball Jamison

Released in 2012 by the label 2M Producciones, this collaborative project brought together the distinct voices of Bobby Kimball, the original lead singer of Toto, and Jimi Jamison, best known for his tenure as the frontman of Survivor. The album served as a bridge between two titans of the 1980s AOR and melodic rock scenes, seeking to capture the refined, radio-friendly production styles that defined the era. The collaboration was designed as a showcase for their enduring vocal capabilities, blending Kimball's soul-inflected rock approach with Jamison's anthemic pop-rock sensibilities.

The album was primarily produced for the European market, where the legacy of melodic rock maintained a robust and dedicated following long after the genre's commercial peak in the United States. While the project was met with quiet appreciation by hardcore fans of the respective artists, its release remains a somewhat obscure entry in their broader discographies. It is regarded as a niche effort that captures the transition of these legendary vocalists into their later careers, emphasizing their technical proficiency and the professional camaraderie that characterized the session-driven rock scene of the time.
