O Nome

O Nome was released in 2011 by the worship ministry of the Centro Cristão da Cidade, a prominent evangelical church community based in Portugal. Produced during a period of significant growth for the contemporary worship music scene in Lusophone countries, the album was crafted to serve as a congregational resource, focusing on themes of reverence, theological depth, and liturgical expression. The project reflects the collective effort of local church musicians to document the sound and spirit of their weekly worship services for their congregation and a wider listening audience.

The album's design and musical direction prioritize a stripped-back, earnest aesthetic common to mid-2010s church music productions, aiming to facilitate personal devotion rather than commercial spectacle. By emphasizing lyrical clarity and atmospheric arrangements, the creators intended to provide a soundtrack that mirrors the intimate, meditative style of the church's gathering. Upon its release, it was well-received within the Portuguese Christian music community, establishing the group as a consistent voice in the national worship movement and anchoring their reputation for delivering standard-bearing congregational praise music.
