Petite Messe Solennelle

Gioacchino Rossini composed his Petite Messe Solennelle in 1863, nearly three decades after his retirement from opera. Written in his later years, the work was originally scored for twelve singers, two pianos, and a harmonium. This 2012 release on the Stradivarius label features a collaborative performance led by conductor Tito Ceccherini.
