Where it came from
The Arturos EP was self-released by the indie rock band The Arturos in 2018 as a way to formalize their sound and provide a tangible product for fans at live performances. Operating without the backing of a major record label, the band handled the production and distribution independently, prioritizing a grassroots approach that reflected the intimate and DIY nature of their musical aesthetic.
The design of the EP emphasizes a minimalist, lo-fi visual style, aligning with the band's focus on raw, guitar-driven melodies and introspective songwriting. By keeping the packaging simple and avoiding the pressures of a commercial label, the group aimed to maintain full creative control over their debut output, allowing the music itself to serve as the primary introduction to their sonic identity.
