Where it came from
Théorème was released in 2022 as the second studio album by French singer and songwriter Bilal Hassani. Coming off the success of his debut and his representation of France at the Eurovision Song Contest, this project marked a period of artistic maturation for Hassani, as he transitioned into an independent framework via his own label, House Of Hassani. The album serves as a thematic exploration of identity, resilience, and the complexities of public life.
The album's design and sound were crafted to reflect Hassani's evolving aesthetic, blending pop sensibilities with introspective lyricism. Critics noted the project's focus on personal evolution, with the title itself serving as a metaphor for the 'theorems' or truths Hassani formulated regarding his own experiences with fame and self-discovery. The physical release functions as a consolidation of this specific chapter in his career, emphasizing his move toward creative autonomy.
