Théophanie À Visu

Théophanie À Visu was released in 1995 on the Pure label, emerging during a period of significant experimentation within the industrial and power electronics scenes of the mid-nineties. The collaboration between Phaeton Dernière Danse and Le Syndicat serves as a bridge between the French industrial underground and the broader European avant-garde movement, reflecting an era where artists sought to push the boundaries of sound design and thematic depth.

The project focuses on dense, layered sonic textures that challenge the listener, consistent with the aesthetic goals of the Pure label at the time. While the contributors remained deeply entrenched in the underground, the record is recognized for its uncompromising approach to composition. It was received as a niche but notable entry in the industrial discography, valued by collectors for its specific place in the collaboration-heavy landscape of 1990s experimental music.
