2000 AD is a long-running British science fiction anthology comic that first launched in 1977. Issue #2472, published in 2024, continues the magazine's tradition of presenting serialized stories centered on its iconic mascot and flagship character, Judge Dredd, alongside various experimental strips. The publication has remained a cornerstone of British comic culture by consistently blending dystopian satire with high-concept action.

The design of modern issues like #2472 reflects the publication's evolution from its newsprint origins to a sleek, contemporary aesthetic. The cover art for this era typically showcases a collaborative effort from industry veterans who prioritize the gritty, hyper-detailed visual language established by early contributors.
