2000 AD #2479

2000 AD is a long-running British science fiction anthology comic that first launched in 1977, known for its irreverent tone and its role as a launching pad for influential creators. Issue 2479, released in 2024, continues the publication's legacy of serialised storytelling, featuring established staples such as Judge Dredd alongside a rotating cast of experimental strips and guest creators. The title remains a cornerstone of the UK independent comic scene, maintaining a distinct visual identity rooted in its history of high-contrast, kinetic illustration.

The design and production of modern issues like 2479 are overseen by Rebellion Developments, which acquired the 2000 AD library in 2000. Under their stewardship, the magazine has preserved its classic newsprint-adjacent aesthetic while integrating modern coloring techniques and digital production standards. This issue reflects the current editorial commitment to balancing the satirical grit of Mega-City One with contemporary science fiction narratives, a formula that has kept the weekly publication in continuous circulation for nearly five decades.
