2000 AD #2481

2000 AD is a foundational British weekly science fiction anthology comic that first launched in 1977. Issue #2481, published in April 2024, continues the magazine's long-standing tradition of showcasing gritty, innovative storytelling. The publication emerged from the progressive editorial landscape of late-seventies Britain, designed to provide a sophisticated alternative to the more traditional adventure comics of the era. It is perhaps best known as the home of Judge Dredd, though it has consistently served as a vital incubator for some of the most influential writers and artists in the medium.

The design of the modern 2000 AD anthology relies on a distinct visual aesthetic that balances experimental cover art with dense, multi-part serials. The creative direction emphasizes high-contrast graphics and a commitment to provocative, often satirical narrative themes. The magazine is historically credited with bridging the gap between underground comics and mainstream industry standards, maintaining a loyal global readership by adhering to a rigorous house style that prioritizes bold, imaginative graphic storytelling.
