Albert Ke no Reijō wa Botsuraku wo go Shomō Desu #7

Albert Ke no Reijō wa Botsuraku wo go Shomō Desu, known in English as The Daughter of the Albert House Wishes for Ruin, originated as a light novel series written by Saki Tsukigami with illustrations by Mizuho Itsuki. The series follows Mary Albert, a young noblewoman who realizes she is a villainess in a romance game and actively attempts to bring about her own family's downfall to secure a peaceful future, only for her efforts to consistently result in unintended popularity and success. The manga adaptation, which includes the seventh volume, is illustrated by Hiyoko Tanabata and serializes the narrative through a blend of comedic misunderstandings and high-fantasy court drama.

The seventh volume continues the series' established aesthetic, characterized by Hiyoko Tanabata’s polished, expressive character designs that lean into the shojo manga tradition while highlighting the absurdity of Mary’s internal monologues. It was produced for a demographic of readers interested in the popular 'villainess' subgenre of light novels and manga, which gained massive traction in Japan during the late 2010s. The reception of the manga adaptation has been positive, with readers praising its ability to adapt the light novel's fast-paced humor and for the detailed, clean linework that defines the series' visual identity.
