Always a Catch!: How I Punched My Way into Marrying a Prince #8

Always a Catch!: How I Punched My Way into Marrying a Prince began as a satirical shojo manga series reflecting the mid-2010s trend of subverting classic fairy-tale tropes. Issue #8 was produced during the height of the series' popularity, arriving as the narrative reached its mid-season climax, where the protagonist's unconventional courtship strategies began to draw heavy scrutiny from the royal court. The intent behind the series was to blend slapstick comedy with earnest commentary on the rigid societal expectations placed upon young women entering the aristocracy.

The character design and dynamic paneling for this issue were overseen by the primary creative team, who emphasized exaggerated expressions and kinetic action sequences to maintain the series' high-energy tone. Upon its initial release, the volume was noted by critics for its balance of absurdist humor and surprisingly poignant character development. It remains a notable entry in the genre for its willingness to poke fun at the 'damsel in distress' archetype while simultaneously grounding its lead in genuine aspiration.
