Where it came from
BL Forever vs. No More BL emerged as an experimental independent comic series exploring the polarizing discourse surrounding the Boys' Love genre. This second issue functions as a meta-narrative, dissecting the tension between dedicated fan communities and critical detractors, effectively acting as a graphic essay on the cultural evolution of the medium.
The visual direction employs a stark, dualistic aesthetic intended to represent the conflicting ideologies within the fandom. By juxtaposing character designs that lean into classic BL tropes against more deconstructive, minimalist layouts, the creative team aimed to challenge readers to confront their own biases regarding genre conventions and artistic integrity.
