Black Condor #7

Black Condor #7 was published in 1993 as part of the DC Comics ongoing series featuring the character Ryan Kendall. The series was born out of the post-Crisis DC universe, focusing on a character granted flight and other abilities through exposure to a strange radioactive meteor shower. This iteration sought to blend the classic Golden Age archetype of the Black Condor with the darker, more introspective storytelling sensibilities common in early 1990s comics.

The creative direction for this series was heavily influenced by the work of writer Brian Augustyn and artist Rags Morales. Morales provided a dynamic, fluid visual style that emphasized the character's aerial maneuvers, moving away from more rigid layouts to convey a sense of freedom and isolation. While the series was often seen as an experimental title within the larger DC landscape, it remains a notable example of the company’s efforts to revitalize legacy characters for a modern readership.
