Blood Blockade Battlefront Omnibus #2

Blood Blockade Battlefront, originally titled Kekkai Sensen, was created by Yasuhiro Nightow and first serialized in 2009. The series is set in a surreal, supernatural version of New York City renamed Hellsalem's Lot, which emerged following a breach between Earth and the Beyond. The Omnibus editions, published by Dark Horse Manga, were designed to collect multiple volumes of the original series into a larger, more durable format for readers to follow the complex narrative of Libra, a secret organization dedicated to maintaining order in the chaotic city.

The Omnibus #2 volume continues the stylistic aesthetic established by Nightow, characterized by high-octane action sequences, eccentric character designs, and a frantic, urban-fantasy atmosphere. Dark Horse’s decision to release these omnibus volumes was intended to provide a more accessible entry point to the series following the success of the anime adaptation. The work is widely regarded for its unique blend of gritty sci-fi and whimsical humor, remaining a standout example of Nightow's signature approach to genre storytelling.
