Boruto: Two Blue Vortex #7

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex #7 was released in March 2024 as part of the monthly serialization in V Jump magazine. This issue marks a pivotal moment in the post-timeskip narrative of the Boruto series, which serves as a direct sequel to Masashi Kishimoto's original Naruto franchise. The series, written by Masashi Kishimoto and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto, shifted focus to a darker, high-stakes tone following the reality-warping events orchestrated by the antagonist Eida and the subsequent exile of the protagonist.

Mikio Ikemoto’s art style in this volume continues the evolution established in the early chapters of Two Blue Vortex, characterized by sleeker character designs and more dynamic, cinematic paneling. The design choices for the post-timeskip era emphasize the growth and isolation of the characters, reflecting a departure from the lighter tone of the original Boruto: Naruto Next Generations series. The issue has been met with significant attention from the manga community, largely due to the progression of its central mystery and the integration of long-standing lore elements from the Hidden Leaf Village.
