Boss, Bxtch, Baby! #3

Boss, Bxtch, Baby! is an independent comic book series created by writer and illustrator Kelci D. Crawford. The series was developed as a vibrant, character-driven exploration of self-actualization, ambition, and personal growth, specifically highlighting the experiences of Black women. It emerged from the thriving landscape of contemporary indie comics, where creators increasingly use self-publishing platforms to tell nuanced stories that prioritize intersectional representation and stylistic flair.

The visual design of the series is defined by a bold, expressive aesthetic that leans into high-energy character interactions and distinct, modern fashion sensibilities. By focusing on the interplay between professional aspirations and the messiness of everyday life, the series resonated with readers looking for relatable, humorous, and empowering narratives. Issue #3 continues the established tone of the series, maintaining the artist's signature approach to emotional honesty paired with a sharp, contemporary visual language.
