Botsuraku Ririn wa Kyō mo Kōkyū Kōryakuchū #3

Botsuraku Ririn wa Kyō mo Kōkyū Kōryakuchū, known in English as The Fallen Ririn Is Conquering the Imperial Palace Again Today, is a light novel series written by Mitsuki and illustrated by Riko Korie. The third volume continues the narrative of Ririn, a noblewoman who finds herself navigating the complex social and political hierarchies of the imperial palace following her family's downfall. The series draws from the popular 'reincarnation' and 'villainess' tropes prevalent in contemporary Japanese web novel culture, focusing on the protagonist's strategic efforts to regain her status through wit and social maneuvering.

The visual design of the volume is defined by Riko Korie’s vibrant, expressive character art, which is a staple of the light novel market. Korie’s work on this series is praised for capturing both the comedic and romantic elements of the story, with cover illustrations that emphasize the ornate, period-inspired aesthetics of the imperial setting. As with many titles published under the Kadokawa-associated imprints, the third volume represents a consolidation of the series' fanbase and a deepening of the established world-building, marking a transition from the initial setup of the first two volumes into more complex plot developments.
