Buffy the Vampire Slayer #17

Buffy the Vampire Slayer #17 was published in 1999 as part of the original comic book series produced by Dark Horse Comics, which sought to expand the narrative universe established by the Joss Whedon television show. During this period, the comics were produced during the hiatuses between television seasons, serving as canonical bridges that deepened the character development of Buffy Summers and her supporting cast.

The issue features artwork and narrative contributions consistent with the established style of the Dark Horse run, which prioritized visual continuity with the actors' likenesses while allowing for supernatural scenarios beyond the television show's budgetary constraints. It reflects the creative efforts of writers and artists tasked with maintaining the specific tone of the series, which was generally well-received by fans looking for additional content during the show's prime years.
