Buffy the Vampire Slayer #28

Buffy the Vampire Slayer #28 was published by Dark Horse Comics in 2001 as part of their ongoing comic book series expanding the universe of the television show. This specific issue is part of the 'Past Lives' story arc, which was written by Christopher Golden and Tom Sniegoski. The series was designed to bridge the gap between television seasons, allowing creators to explore character backstories and supernatural threats that were often too expansive or costly to film for the screen.

The interior art for this issue was provided by Cliff Richards, a staple artist for the Dark Horse run who was known for his grounded, character-focused style. The cover art features a collaborative effort by Joe Bennett and others, aiming to capture the signature blend of high-stakes action and teenage angst that defined the franchise. Upon release, the series was well-received by fans of the show, who appreciated the narrative continuity and the creators' ability to maintain the distinct voices of Joss Whedon's original characters.
