Buffy the Vampire Slayer #36

Buffy the Vampire Slayer #36 was published by Dark Horse Comics in 2002 as part of the long-running series that expanded upon the canonical narrative of the television show. Created in the wake of the series' immense popularity, these comics were developed to bridge gaps between seasons or explore side stories. This specific issue serves as part of the 'Past Lives' story arc, which was written by Christopher Golden and Tom Sniegoski, two authors who frequently contributed to the franchise's expanded literary universe.

The artwork for this arc was provided by Cliff Richards, a staple artist for the Dark Horse Buffy line known for his ability to capture the likenesses of the cast while maintaining a dynamic comic book aesthetic. The series was designed to appeal to existing fans looking for supplemental content, and it generally received a positive reception from the dedicated comic community for its commitment to the show's established tone and character voices during a transitional period for the television program.
