Buffy the Vampire Slayer #60

Buffy the Vampire Slayer issue #60 was published by Dark Horse Comics in 2003 as part of the long-running series that expanded the narrative universe of the television show. Created in the wake of the show's later seasons, this comic provided fans with canonical stories that existed in the gaps between television episodes. It serves as a testament to the transition of the Buffy franchise into a transmedia experience, where the written word became essential to maintaining the show's complex lore.

The issue features contributions from various creative teams who worked within the Dark Horse editorial guidelines to maintain the established voices of characters like Buffy Summers and Willow Rosenberg. The visual design focused on capturing the aesthetic of the television series while embracing the medium of sequential art, allowing for supernatural sequences that would have been cost-prohibitive on screen. It was received by the fan community as a reliable extension of the series, valued for its ability to preserve the character development and interpersonal dynamics that defined the television property.
