Cher Époux Inconnu, Je Veux Divorcer #2

Cher Époux Inconnu, Je Veux Divorcer was a French romance comic series that emerged during the mid-20th century, a period when sentimental and melodramatic photonovels and illustrated magazines were highly popular among European readers. This publication, like many of its contemporaries, focused on the escapist themes of domestic conflict, romantic tension, and social intrigue, catering to an audience that sought serialized emotional narratives.

The artistic style of this series relied heavily on the distinct aesthetic of period romance illustration, utilizing expressive line work and dramatic layouts designed to heighten the stakes of the protagonists' personal dilemmas. These issues were produced as accessible weekly or monthly serials, serving as a staple of newsstands that prioritized affordable, mass-market entertainment for a broad, largely female readership during the post-war era.
