Comic Yuri Hime #163

Comic Yuri Hime is a foundational Japanese manga anthology magazine published by Ichijinsha, which has focused exclusively on yuri, or girls' love, narratives since its inception in 2005. Issue 163 represents a continuation of the magazine's long-standing mission to provide a dedicated platform for lesbian-themed storytelling, ranging from lighthearted school romances to more experimental character studies. The series evolved from the earlier Yuri Shimai magazine and has consistently served as the primary venue for notable artists within the genre to reach a mainstream audience.

The aesthetic and editorial direction of Comic Yuri Hime is defined by a commitment to diverse artistic styles, often highlighting the works of prominent creators such as Namori and Saburouta. Design choices for individual issues typically emphasize cover illustrations that capture the emotional intimacy central to the yuri genre, adhering to a visual language that has remained recognizable to fans of the medium for nearly two decades. The magazine has maintained its influence by balancing established hit series with new, shorter-form works that explore the evolving boundaries of contemporary Japanese queer media.
