Count Duckula #6

Count Duckula #6 was published in 1989 by Marvel UK as part of a series based on the popular animated television program created by Cosgrove Hall Films. The series centered on a vegetarian vampire duck, a comedic subversion of classic gothic tropes, which had emerged as a breakout character from the Danger Mouse franchise. The comics sought to capture the slapstick, surreal humor of the show, catering to a younger audience through episodic adventures.

The comic featured work from various artists and writers associated with the Marvel UK stable during the late 1980s. The design and aesthetic closely mirrored the animation style of the series, utilizing bold, colorful panels to convey the chaotic energy of Duckula’s castle, Castle Duckula. While the series was generally well-received by children of the era and fans of British animation, it remained a niche publication that primarily served as a tie-in product to bolster the character's broader merchandising footprint.
