Cyberella #8

Cyberella, published by DC Comics under the Helix imprint starting in 1996, was a mid-nineties attempt to capture the burgeoning interest in cyberpunk aesthetics and digital-age storytelling. Issue 8 represents the later chapters of this miniseries, which follows the life of a woman living in a highly digitized, dystopian future where the line between reality and virtual existence is increasingly permeable.

The series was written by Howard Chaykin and illustrated by Don Cameron, featuring a distinctive visual style meant to evoke the neon-saturated, gritty tropes typical of the genre. While the series is remembered for its ambitious thematic focus on identity and the internet age, it remains a cult item, valued primarily by collectors interested in the experimental output of the short-lived Helix label.
