Daredevil #25

Published by Marvel Comics in 1967, Daredevil #25 stands as a significant milestone for the character, marking the first appearance of the Leaper Stilt-Man. This issue arrived during the series' foundational era, where writers and artists were actively expanding the hero's rogues' gallery to distinguish the title within the burgeoning Marvel Universe. The narrative reflects the mid-sixties comic book convention of introducing eccentric, tech-based adversaries who challenged the protagonist's grounded, street-level vigilance.

The cover and interior art for this issue feature the work of Gene Colan, whose atmospheric and fluid illustrative style became synonymous with Daredevil's visual identity during this period. Colan’s moody, cinematic approach helped elevate the relatively whimsical premise of a villain on hydraulic stilts into the dramatic context of Hell’s Kitchen. The issue was received as a standard but memorable chapter in the Silver Age of comics, contributing to the ongoing effort to cement Daredevil as a mainstay of the Marvel imprint.
