DC Comics Presents #94

DC Comics Presents #94 was published in June 1986 as part of a series designed to showcase team-ups between Superman and various heroes or villains from the DC Universe. This specific issue features a crossover with the Swamp Thing, scripted by Alan Moore with art by Rick Veitch. It serves as a notable entry in the series, arriving during a period when Moore was critically acclaimed for his work on the Swamp Thing title, blending superhero action with the gothic, philosophical tone characteristic of his writing at the time.

The narrative follows Superman as he seeks help from Swamp Thing to contain an otherworldly threat, highlighting the thematic clash between Superman's cosmic optimism and Swamp Thing's grounded, elemental nature. Rick Veitch’s pencils provide a stark, atmospheric aesthetic that complements the dark fantasy elements of the script. The issue is widely regarded by collectors as a significant collaboration, marking one of the few instances where Superman’s traditional world was effectively filtered through the lens of Moore's unique approach to character development.
