Die tollsten Geschichten von Donald Duck - Spezial #26

Die tollsten Geschichten von Donald Duck - Spezial is a long-running German comic book series published by Ehapa, which began in the 1960s. These compilations were designed to showcase the work of legendary Disney comic creators, primarily focusing on the sprawling, adventurous narratives of Carl Barks. The series emerged during a period when European readers developed a deep appreciation for the storytelling depth of the Duck universe, often curating specific thematic collections or specific artist retrospectives that stood apart from the standard weekly or monthly Mickey Mouse publications.

Issue number 26 of the Spezial series continues this tradition of high-quality reprint editions. The design follows the classic Ehapa house style, utilizing archival material to maintain the integrity of the original mid-century illustrations. By prioritizing the works of master draftsmen like Barks, the series succeeded in elevating Donald Duck comics from ephemeral newsstand fare to collectible literary artifacts. It remains highly regarded by European enthusiasts who value the preservation of original ink-and-paper storytelling in a format that remains accessible yet respectful of the source material.
