Where it came from
Die werte Lady lässt sich gern den Hintern versohlen is a niche German erotic comic series characterized by its focus on historical settings, formal language, and stylized depictions of corporal punishment. Emerging as part of the broader adult comic market in German-speaking territories, the series aimed to bridge classic illustration styles with explicit fetish-oriented storytelling. The aesthetic leans heavily into a deliberate retro sensibility, utilizing period-appropriate costuming and dramatic, theatrical framing to distinguish itself from more modern or graphic pornography of the era.
The second installment continues the established visual motifs of the series, adhering to the conventions set by its primary creators and contributors who focused on a specific subgenre of erotic literature. Its design relies on detailed ink work and classical page layouts designed to evoke a sense of period drama. While the series maintains a consistent readership within specialized fetish circles, it remains an underground publication, largely ignored by mainstream critical discourse and typically circulated through specialized adult bookstores and niche collector markets.
