Dìyīshén Quán #145

Dìyīshén Quán, known in English as 'First God Fist,' stands as a significant pillar in the history of Hong Kong manhua. Issue 145 was published during the peak of the series' influence, a time when the genre was dominated by high-octane martial arts narratives and stylized, hyper-detailed ink work. The series emerged from the competitive landscape of the late 20th-century Hong Kong comic market, where weekly serialized kung fu epics were cultural staples that shaped the aesthetics of the medium for an entire generation.

The series is celebrated for its intense action choreography and the distinctive character designs that bridged traditional Chinese aesthetics with modern graphic novel sensibilities. Readers and critics at the time often praised the technical precision of the illustrations and the melodramatic, high-stakes storytelling that defined the publication's identity. As an entry in a long-running series, issue 145 represents the maturation of the creative team's vision, showcasing the refined panel layouts and narrative pacing that earned the title a loyal following across East Asia.
