Drama na Koi wa Kihon Kara #8

Drama na Koi wa Koi wa Kihon Kara is a manga series serialized in the shoujo magazine Ribon during the mid-1990s. Authored by the prominent manga artist Io Sakisaka in her early career, the series centers on the romantic entanglements and emotional growth of high school students. It emerged during a period when the genre focused heavily on melodramatic school life and the intricate social dynamics of teenage relationships, catering to a demographic of young female readers.

The eighth volume serves as a significant installment in the collection, showcasing Sakisaka’s characteristic clean linework and emotive character design that would later define her mainstream success. The series was designed to emphasize the fundamentals of romance—the 'kihon' mentioned in the title—exploring themes of sincerity and communication. While it remains a niche title compared to her later blockbuster works, it is regarded by dedicated collectors as an essential piece of her artistic evolution and a representative artifact of the mid-90s shoujo aesthetic.
