Freedom Fighters #15

Freedom Fighters #15 was published by DC Comics in 1978, serving as the final issue of the series' original run. The title emerged from a period of experimentation at DC, featuring a team of characters originally acquired from Quality Comics, such as Uncle Sam and the Ray. This specific issue was written by Bob Rozakis with art by Al Milgrom, aiming to conclude the team's ongoing storylines amid declining sales that led to the book's cancellation during the infamous DC Implosion.

The creative direction for this period attempted to maintain a sense of legacy by honoring the golden-age roots of the characters while integrating them into the modern DC Universe. Although the series ended abruptly, its cancellation is historically significant among comic historians as a representative case of the editorial consolidation that defined DC's output in the late 1970s. The art style reflected the standard house aesthetic of the era, focusing on clear, action-oriented compositions typical of bronze-age superhero storytelling.
