Genshō X: Chōjō Genshō Sōsaroku #3

Genshō X: Chōjō Genshō Sōsaroku is a niche Japanese publication series focused on the documentation of paranormal phenomena, urban legends, and occult studies. Issue #3 was produced as part of a recurring series intended to archive and analyze reports of supernatural activity, reflecting the late 20th-century cultural fascination in Japan with the 'mysterious' or 'supernatural' genre, which often blended investigative reporting with speculative folklore.

The design of the series prioritizes a stark, archival aesthetic, utilizing minimalist layouts and monochromatic photography to emphasize a sense of journalistic authenticity. The editorial approach, led by specialists in Japanese occult history, was designed to appeal to readers seeking a structured, quasi-scientific approach to unexplained events. Upon release, the series found a dedicated audience among hobbyists of cryptozoology and Japanese paranormal studies, though it remains a specialty publication rather than a mainstream title.
