Where it came from
Published by Ehapa Comic Collection in the early 2000s, this miniseries was produced to coincide with renewed public interest in the origins of the Star Wars saga. The publication sought to chronicle the personal and professional hurdles George Lucas faced while developing his space opera, effectively serving as a biographical bridge between his early life and the global phenomenon that followed.
The series features a blend of traditional comic storytelling and documentary-style narration, focusing on Lucas's transition from an aspiring filmmaker in Modesto to the director of American Graffiti and the visionary behind A New Hope. It was designed to provide German-speaking readers with a visually compelling narrative of the behind-the-scenes struggles and creative decisions that defined the franchise's inception.
