Gøg og Gokke #64

Gøg og Gokke was the long-running Danish comic book series featuring the comedic duo Laurel and Hardy. Produced by Gutenberghus, which later became Egmont, the series adapted the classic film routines into a serialized illustrated format that became a staple of Danish children's literature throughout the mid-twentieth century.

The artistic direction for these issues typically relied on a house style characterized by clean lines and slapstick-focused layouts designed to capture the specific physical comedy of the original performers. While individual artists were rarely credited on the covers or inside pages during this period, the design aimed to maintain visual continuity with the actors' recognizable on-screen personas, a goal that ensured the series remained a reliable commercial success for decades.
